Hat yai: The Thai Kao Mai Party, accompanied by a caravan of essential supplies, has made its way to Hat Yai in an effort to support flood victims in the region. The departure from Bangkok marks a significant push to provide relief to those affected by recent flooding.
According to Thai News Agency, the caravan was organized by the Thai Move Forward Party, with Deputy Director Mr. Setthakorn Wongarayasukol overseeing the operation. The collection of dried food, drinking water, and other necessary items was facilitated at the party's main coordination center located at the I Tower building on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road. These donations were then loaded onto a large truck and transported to the Hat Yai District in Songkhla Province. Despite a decrease in water levels, there is a continued need for basic supplies among the residents whose essentials were lost in the floods.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ae Suchatvee Suwansawat, leader of the Thai Kao Mai Party, was on the ground in Hat Yai to receive the donations at Hat Yai Prachasan School. The donations are aimed at assisting flood victims not only in Hat Yai but also in the three southern border provinces. Dr. Suwansawat, alongside a team of volunteer engineers and Thai Kao Mai vocational students, conducted inspections of the electrical and plumbing systems in flood-affected homes to ensure necessary repairs are carried out. Additionally, this vocational team is establishing a service center at Udom Suksa Commercial School on Thammanunwithi Road, Hat Yai Subdistrict, where electrical equipment inspection and repair services will be offered.
