Songkhla: The Chamber of Commerce is preparing to organize a nationwide seminar aimed at unlocking the Thai economy for sustainable growth. The 43rd National Chamber of Commerce Seminar will convene in Songkhla, bringing together over 1,200 private sector members from across the country, with plans to present a white paper to the Prime Minister.
According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Poj Aramwattananon, Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trade of Thailand, announced the appointment of the Songkhla Provincial Chamber of Commerce as co-host for the seminar, scheduled from November 21-23, 2025, at the International Convention Center, Prince of Songkla University. Under the theme "Unlocking New Growth: New Potential for Growth," the event will serve as a platform to mobilize private sector networks to exchange ideas and propose policies, with the attendance of leaders from both the public and private sectors, including new entrepreneurs and government officials.
The Thai Chamber of Commerce emphasizes collaboration among business, government, and civil society to steer the country's economic development. The "Thai Chamber of Commerce White Paper 2025" has been compiled to provide a guideline for economic progress, addressing sectors like trade, investment, agriculture, and technology. The white paper, which outlines seven pillars for economic revitalization, will be presented to Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on November 23, 2025, to aid in developing Thailand's economic strategy.
The seminar will feature lectures and discussions from economic leaders, including Dr. Suvit Maesincee, Dr. Ekniti Nitithanpraphas, and Ms. Pathama Chanrak, among others. Topics will cover economic transformation and digital success, with a focus on innovation's role in enhancing Thailand's economic capabilities. The event will also host an awards ceremony to honor contributions from the public and private sectors.
Mr. Wittaya Chanthasen, Deputy Governor of Songkhla Province, expressed the province's readiness to host the seminar, highlighting Songkhla's potential as a trade hub. Key projects, such as the development of the deep-sea port and the Hat Yai-Padang Besar railway, reflect the province's economic strengthening. Songkhla is prepared to welcome participants to exchange ideas and experience the local culture and attractions.
Mr. Songphol Jangsiriwattanathamrong, President of the Songkhla Chamber of Commerce, stated the province's readiness to host the seminar, showcasing its potential as a major economic center and a UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy. The event will feature local dishes and cultural tourism experiences, aiming to generate significant local revenue and stimulate sustainable growth in the area.
