Bangkok: A violent altercation between teenage motorcycle gangs erupted just 500 meters from the Rom Klao Police Station, resulting in a fatality. The incident involved a reckless shootout, followed by a shocking act where the injured victim was run over by the perpetrators' motorcycle, leading to his immediate death.
According to Thai News Agency, the disturbing event was captured on CCTV footage and bystander videos, depicting the chaotic scene that unfolded late last night in front of Soi Keha Rom Klao 50. The footage shows the teenage motorcycle gangs engaging in a dangerous chase while exchanging gunfire. After one individual was shot and knocked off his motorcycle, the assailants callously ran over him, ensuring his demise. Alarmed bystanders called out for police intervention, prompting the perpetrators to flee the scene. Despite the quick response from residents who rushed to assist and summon emergency medical services, the victim's life could not be saved.
Reporters visiting the crime scene today noted the presence of bloodstains on the road. An eyewitness, a noodle vendor operating near the Kriangkrai intersection, recounted the tense moments leading up to the fatality. She described how the motorcycle gang approached the intersection, followed by the sound of gunfire, and then sped off towards the park and Rom Klao Police Station. She further remarked that while similar skirmishes had occurred in the area previously, none had escalated to the point of death.
Rom Klao Police Station's investigative team has identified a suspect linked to the incident. They conducted a search of the suspect's residence but found it deserted. The authorities are now meticulously reviewing CCTV footage as part of their efforts to locate and apprehend the suspect responsible for this heinous act.
