Bangkok: The Tai Hong Kong Shrine, under the Po Teck Tung Foundation, is celebrating the Chinese New Year with a grand festival, offering devotees an opportunity to pay homage to Luang Pu Tai Hong and participate in auspicious chanting ceremonies known as Pha Keng.
According to Thai News Agency, the festival will be held from February 16-25, 2026, and is led by Chairman Wichien Techapaiboon. Devotees are invited to sign up for the chanting of auspicious mantras to secure good fortune throughout the Year of the Golden Horse. The ceremony, which occurs only once a year, allows participants to donate 20 baht per Pha Keng for various blessings, including family happiness, warding off misfortune, enhancing fortune, improving destiny, and ensuring stability and prosperity.
The festival also offers other activities, such as making merit with the statue of the Year of the Horse, partaking in "Auspicious Sago" for harmony, and receiving the "Red Hu" amulet of Luang Pu Tai Hong for protection. Visitors can participate in the "Sacred Incense Circumambulation Ceremony" on February 24, 2026, to seek blessings from celestial deities.
Registrations for the auspicious chanting ceremony will begin on February 11, 2026, at the Poh Teck Tung Foundation in Phlabphla Chai and online at the foundation's website. The festival's details and live streams of important ceremonies will be available on the foundation's Facebook page. For more information, the Poh Teck Tung hotline at 1418 is available for inquiries.
