Social Security Office Cancels 2026 Calendar Due to Procurement Delays

Bangkok: The Social Security Office has announced the cancellation of its 2026 calendar following disruptions in procurement and prolonged appeals that hindered production timelines.

According to Thai News Agency, the Social Security Office released a statement outlining the reasons for halting the production of the 2026 Social Security Calendar. The issues began with delays in the procurement process, caused by an appeal against the bidding results. This appeal prevented the production and delivery of the calendar by the December 2025 deadline, ultimately leading to the project's termination to avoid financial inefficiencies.

Ms. Kanchana Poolkaew, Secretary-General of the Social Security Office, assured that the procurement process adhered to legal standards, maintaining transparency and accountability. Despite this, an appeal concerning the e-bidding results led to the involvement of the Comptroller General's Department's Appeals Committee. Although the committee dismissed the objections and permitted the project to continue, the decision came too late to meet the timeframe outlined in the Terms of Reference (TOR), resulting in the missed production deadline.

The Secretary-General highlighted that, despite the absence of a 2026 calendar, the Social Security Office remains committed to providing insured individuals with continuous access to information, news, and benefits through various channels. This ensures that the public receives essential updates and resources in a timely manner.
