Bangkok: The Social Security Office (SSO) has informed employers about an impending temporary closure for system maintenance and upgrades, which aims to enhance service efficiency for insured persons under Section 33. This upgrade is part of a significant initiative to transition operations to the new SSO Core system, which promises to improve efficiency, speed, and accuracy in servicing employers and insured persons.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Kanjana Poolkaew, Secretary-General of the Social Security Office, disclosed that the SSO is implementing a new service system by upgrading to SSO Core. This modern central system is designed to support comprehensive services and integrate data efficiently, facilitating both employers and insured persons. The announced system maintenance and development closure will take place from December 20, 2025, to January 4, 2026. During this period, employers can still carry out essential transactions via the SSO's electronic service system at www.sso.go.th.
The services available during the closure include registering as an insured person using Form SPS.1-03, notifying changes to insured person's information with Form SPS.6-10, notifying the termination of insured person status with Form SPS.6-09, submitting contribution information electronically, and making contribution payments through the e-Payment system. Employers who have not yet utilized the SSO's electronic service system are required to apply for electronic transactions on the website to obtain a username and password for accessing the service.
Ms. Kanjana Poolkaew further mentioned that data from electronic transactions conducted by employers during the system maintenance period will be processed and uploaded into the Social Security Office's system after the maintenance concludes, starting from January 5, 2026. She expressed apologies for any inconvenience and emphasized the SSO's dedication to continuously improving its services to enhance efficiency, modernity, and responsiveness in the digital age. The SSO Core initiatives will be advanced steadily for the long-term benefit of insured persons and employers across the nation.
