Sisaket By-Election Roadshow Promotes Honest Voting Practices

Sisaket: The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) organized a roadshow titled "No Vote Buying, No Vote Selling" in Sisaket Province to promote honest voting practices for the upcoming by-election in Constituency 5. Mr. Santhat Siri-ananpaiboon, Election Commissioner, presided over the opening ceremony held at the Wongklom Sports Stadium in Khun Han District.

According to Thai News Agency, the roadshow aims to raise awareness and encourage residents of Khun Han and Phusing districts to recognize the significance of participating in the election of Members of Parliament (MPs) to fill vacant positions. The event is scheduled for Sunday, September 28th, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The initiative also seeks to reduce spoiled ballots by urging citizens to exercise their voting rights honestly.

The event featured a parade launch ceremony designed to motivate citizens to exercise their democratic power under the motto "No Vote Buying, No Vote Selling: Election of Members of Parliament to Fill Vacant Positions." Mr. Santhat expressed his honor to be part of this initiative and commended the effort to unify citizens in their voting rights, emphasizing the importance of political participation as the foundation of democracy.

This by-election will fill vacant MP positions in Khun Han and Phusing districts, with no advance voting available either within or outside the constituency. Mr. Santhat encouraged all eligible voters to participate with honesty and prudence, keeping the nation's best interests in mind.

Voters are advised to prepare necessary identification documents, including a national ID card or any official identification card with a photo and national ID number, such as a government official ID card, driver's license, valid passport, or digital identification provided by government agencies.

Mr. Santhat expressed hope that the roadshow would serve as a collective effort by the people of Sisaket Province to ensure an honest, fair, and lawful election under the slogan "No Vote Buying, No Vote Selling."
