Nong Bua Lamphu: The shooter responsible for the deaths of three individuals in Nong Bua Lamphu has reached out to authorities, expressing his intention to surrender. Law enforcement officials, numbering over 300 and armed, have been actively pursuing him, suspecting his presence in the Phu Krajom-Phu Kratae area, located along the border of Loei and Nong Bua Lamphu provinces. According to Thai News Agency, the search for the suspect, identified as Mr. Samart, has entered its second day. Authorities have maintained a secure perimeter around the Phu Krajom and Phu Kratae mountains, covering an expanse of over 1,000 rai. The decision to focus on this area stems from consistent reports from eyewitnesses and the suspect's familiarity with the terrain, suggesting he remains in hiding there. Overnight efforts included deploying heat-sensing drones to pinpoint his location, though no definitive traces have been detected. In addition to aerial surveillance, officers have physically ascended the mountains to continu e their search. The strategy remains unchanged as authorities are convinced of the suspect's presence within the area. The police are appealing to the public for assistance, requesting any sightings of Mr. Samart-described as wearing a black jacket and fleeing on a Honda Beat motorcycle-to be reported immediately to facilitate his arrest. Meanwhile, the community in Sri Bun Rueang District is preparing for the funerals of Mr. Preecha and Ms. Wachinee, a father and daughter among the victims. Their relatives have arranged to transport the bodies from the hospital to their home for religious rites, though a detailed schedule has yet to be finalized. In recent developments, the shooter has contacted the police to arrange his surrender. Officers are currently en route to retrieve him as he descends from the mountainous area.
