Shell Provides Essential Fuel Support for Flood Relief Efforts in Southern Thailand

Bangkok: Shell Company of Thailand Limited has made a significant contribution to aid disaster victims in Southern Thailand by donating 500,000 baht worth of fuel. The fuel is intended for use by the Ministry of Defense's Forward Defense Disaster Relief Center in urgent missions to assist and evacuate those affected by the floods.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Oraruthai Na Chiang Mai, Chief Executive Officer of Shell Company of Thailand Limited, expressed her concern over the ongoing flood situation in the South and acknowledged the hardships and safety challenges facing the local population. She emphasized that this fuel donation is part of Shell's commitment to supporting Thai society during this difficult period. Ms. Na Chiang Mai expressed hope that the Forward Defense Disaster Relief Center would be able to carry out its mission swiftly and effectively, delivering timely aid to those impacted by the floods and ensuring their safety amidst the crisis.

The fuel provided by Shell is expected to significantly enhance the capability of officials to access at-risk areas and facilitate the evacuation of individuals from hazardous zones. The support comes as floodwaters continue to rise, presenting obstacles in terms of accessibility, time constraints, and environmental challenges.
