Saisunee Jaena Clinches Gold in Women’s Individual Foil at Para Fencing World Cup

Bradenton: Saisunee Jana made history by securing the gold medal in the women's individual foil event at the World Cup 2026, marking her first victory in this prestigious competition.

According to Thai News Agency, the wheelchair fencing World Cup, officially known as the Para Fencing World Cup Bradenton 2026, concluded in Bradenton, Florida, with Saisunee Jaena, a 51-year-old Thai national wheelchair fencer, achieving a remarkable victory. Saisunee, already a five-time Paralympic gold medalist, including three gold medals from the 2024 Paris Games, showcased her skill and experience. In the final of the women's individual foil Class B, she faced Kang Xu of China, a newcomer to this level of competition, and triumphed with a narrow 15-13 win.

Additionally, the bronze medals were awarded to Zhou Jingjing of China and Cho Eunhye of South Korea, who both delivered commendable performances throughout the tournament.
