Royal Thai Navy Seizes Thmodha Casino in Trat Province

Trat: The Royal Thai Navy in Trat province successfully landed troops and seized the Thmodha Casino as part of a coordinated military operation. The Royal Thai Marine Corps, operating in the area, worked in conjunction with the Royal Thai Air Force to execute the mission.

According to Thai News Agency, the operation took place on December 21, 2025, when the Chanthaburi and Trat Border Protection Command (CBPC), led by the Trat Marine Corps Task Force, conducted an amphibious landing to secure the target area known as "Thmodah." The Royal Thai Air Force supported the mission by deploying F-16 fighter jets, which dropped 10 bombs to demolish structures that had encroached upon Thai territory. Among these were the Thmodah Casino and a residence belonging to Lieutenant Colonel Tum Yo, a former head of the Cambodian-Thai border coordination unit.

The operation occurred at Ban Tha Sen in the Laem Klat Subdistrict, Mueang Trat District, Trat Province, Thailand, directly across from Ban Song Kom Meuy in the Thmodha Subdistrict, Veal Veng District, Pursat Province, Cambodia. After the airstrike, the Trat Marine Task Force moved in with troops and armored vehicles to conduct a thorough search of the area, successfully capturing all intended targets and concluding the mission as planned.

In a statement released by the Marine Corps, they reaffirmed the enduring spirit and commitment of their personnel. The statement emphasized that despite changing times, the honor and bravery of the Marine Corps remain steadfast, as instilled by their ancestors. They vowed to continue upholding the ideals and prestige of the Navy with unwavering dedication.
