Road Collapse Opposite Pheu Thai Party Headquarters Disrupts Traffic

Bangkok: A section of road has collapsed opposite the Pheu Thai Party headquarters on Phetchaburi Road, outbound lane, early this morning at 1:00 AM. The collapse, which has affected the far left lane, measures approximately 2 meters long and 1 meter wide, effectively blocking one lane of traffic in the Huai Khwang district.

According to Thai News Agency, rescue workers have responded promptly by placing plastic barriers around the affected area to ensure the safety of motorists. They are currently coordinating with relevant authorities to conduct a thorough investigation into the cause of the collapse. Meanwhile, light rain continues to fall in the area, contributing to some instances of local flooding, which may have influenced the road’s structural integrity.

Efforts are ongoing to manage the traffic disruption, and drivers are advised to exercise caution and seek alternative routes where possible. The authorities are expected to provide updates as the situation develops, ensuring that necessary measures are taken to address the road collapse and restore normal traffic flow.
