Raid and arrest “Mother of Sia Po” in luxury home, linked to gambling website

Central Investigation Bureau police arrested 'Mother of Sia Po' at a luxury home in the Phutthamonthon Sai 2 area on charges of involvement in online gambling. She changed her name and disguised herself, claiming to be a housewife. However, when the police were leading the force to arrest her, she ran to find a place to hide. Police from the Central Investigation Bureau, led by the Crime Suppression Division, arrested Ms. Banyen (Mother of Sia Po), aged 51, while she was hiding behind a sofa. She is a suspect with an arrest warrant from the Criminal Court in 2021 on charges of 'jointly organizing gambling or using tricks to lure, help advertise or directly or indirectly persuade others to gamble or bet on electronic media without permission from an official, colluding by agreement of two or more people to commit money laundering and committing money laundering because of the colluding and money laundering.' And another person was arrested, Ms. Phrukchat, aged 31, who was a suspect with an arrest warrant fro m the Don Mueang District Court in 2020 on charges of 'jointly advertising, inviting, and organizing online gambling, gambling for property without permission.' The suspect's behavior was found that in June 2019, police officers from the Technology Crime Suppression Center's investigation division found that the general public was invited to gamble online via websites and Facebook, including football betting and various types of online casino games such as baccarat, pokdeng, other card games, slot machines, and game predictions, etc., which allowed people to take risks and gamble for real money. It turned out that while the arresting police officers were leading the search of a house in Sala Thammasop Subdistrict according to the search warrant, they found a person with similar physical characteristics to Ms. Banyen climbing over the back fence to escape, but the police officers had already surrounded the house, so she climbed back into the house and hid beside the sofa. The police then revealed themselves to arrest her, but she claimed to be named Busaba and was a housekeeper. However, she was forced to give in by evidence, a picture of Ms. Banyen's ID card on her phone, and admitted that she was Ms. Banyen, the suspect in the arrest warrant. The police therefore arrested her and charged her. The other person was hiding in the bedroom on the second floor of the house, Ms. Phrutsachat, 31 years old, the person with the arrest warrant from Don Mueang District Court.
