Python Found on Roof of House in Nonthaburi

Nonthaburi:A homeowner was startled to discover a nearly 4-meter-long python hiding under the roof of their house. The homeowner immediately contacted rescue workers to capture and safely release the snake back into the wild.

According to Thai News Agency, rescue workers found the large python coiled up under the roof of a two-story house in Pak Kret District. The homeowner, Mr. Sarot, a 67-year-old retired civil servant and former forestry expert, was alerted by a neighbor who noticed the snake. Using specialized snake-catching equipment, three rescue workers carefully captured the python due to the high elevation. The operation took about half an hour, after which the snake was secured in a sack and prepared for release by the relevant agency.

Mr. Sarot explained that he was sitting in front of his house when the neighbor informed him of the snake. Upon inspection, he found the python, which he suspects came from a nearby vacant lot that had recently been developed. While surprised to find the snake on the roof, Mr. Sarot, with his background in forestry, was not entirely shocked by the presence of such wildlife. Although reptiles have occasionally appeared in the area, this was the first instance of one climbing onto the roof. Fortunately, no one was injured during the incident.
