Public Health Minister and Deputy Minister of Finance Reveal Billion-Baht Assets

Bangkok: The National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has released the asset declarations of Public Health Minister Phatthana, revealing his wealth exceeds one billion baht.

According to Thai News Agency, the NACC disclosed the asset and liability declarations of political office holders. Notably, Mr. Phatthana Phromphat, upon assuming the position of Minister of Public Health, declared assets totaling 1,092,128,958 baht. This sum includes 60,185,0820 baht for himself, which consists of investments worth 43.2 million baht and rights/concessions worth 6.2 million baht. His spouse, Ms. Atchara Rattanathanasarn, holds assets totaling 1,031,943,875 baht. Her primary assets are investments (940,276,298 baht), loans (16.9 million baht), land (11.8 million baht), and other assets (14.7 million baht). Together, they declared liabilities amounting to 247,616,384 baht.

In contrast, Mr. Bowornsak Uwanno, who assumed the position of Deputy Prime Minister, reported assets totaling 231,930,848 baht. Most of these assets are comprised of bank deposits (10,252,655 baht), investments (51,462,070 baht), 15 plots of land (144,935,101 baht), and two buildings/structures (all condominiums) valued at 10,382,422 baht. Other assets include an array of amulets and watches valued at over 8.4 million baht.

Mr. Worapak Thanyawong, upon taking the role of Deputy Minister of Finance, declared total assets amounting to 1,398,206,653 baht. This includes 39,691,712 baht in bank deposits, investments of 3,778,451 baht, and three plots of land valued at 7,262,040 baht, among other holdings. His spouse, Ms. Kanokporn Seetawanrat, possesses assets totaling 1,358,514,930 baht, which include significant investments and extensive property holdings. Her collection of luxury items and assets is worth millions, highlighting the substantial wealth among these political figures.
