According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, Anutin Charnvirakul, discussed potential candidates for the role, expressing contemplation before stating he would finalize his decision later this week. When asked if he had someone specific in mind, the Prime Minister confirmed affirmatively. He hinted at focusing on the current Interior Ministers, specifically mentioning Interior Minister 4.
The Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of having a team to share the workload, highlighting Mr. Songsak Thongsri, Deputy Minister of Interior since 2019, as a key figure who understands the ministry's system.
