Prime Minister Returns to Thailand After APEC Meeting in Peru.

Bangkok: The Prime Minister, Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, arrived at Bangkok's Don Mueang Military Airport at 11:46 a.m. following her participation in the 31st APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in Lima, Peru. Her return marks the conclusion of an extensive diplomatic mission that spanned eight days. According to Thai News Agency, upon her arrival, the Prime Minister was greeted by Pol. Gen. Kittirat Panphet, the national police chief, who briefed her on the upcoming Police Commission meeting scheduled for November 20. The meeting will focus on the appointment of senior police officers, specifically those at the levels of deputy national police chief and inspector general to police commander, in line with the Police Act of 2565. Following this, the Prime Minister proceeded to the reception room to review and approve the agenda for the Cabinet meeting scheduled for the following day. Mrs. Natcharee Anantasin, Secretary-General to the Cabinet, presented the documents for her consideration. The Prime Minister spe nt approximately 30 minutes in the meeting room before addressing the press with a brief statement, indicating her intention to reunite with her family. The Prime Minister's family, including her husband, Mr. Pitak Suksawat, and their children, were present at the airport to welcome her back. A touching reunion ensued as her daughter, Nong Thitarn, embraced her mother with excitement. The Prime Minister reciprocated the affection, carrying her children and expressing her gratitude to the Air Force personnel who were in attendance. During her mission, the Prime Minister also traveled to Los Angeles, USA, as part of her diplomatic duties. The eight-day absence marked the longest period she had been separated from her children, a sentiment she shared prior to her departure.
