Bangkok: "Anutin" welcomed the 67th National Defense College group on a study visit to the Ministry of Interior. Ms. Traisuree Traisaranakul, Secretary to the Minister of Interior and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Interior, revealed that Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, welcomed the executives, lecturers, and representatives of students of the National Defense Course (NDC) Class 67, led by Lieutenant General Thaksin Sirisingha, Director of the National Defense College, on the occasion of NDC Class 67's study visit and orientation session of students of the National Defense College, National Defense Studies Institute, academic year 2024-2025. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Anutin, an alumnus of NDC Class 2018, shared insights into the mission of the Ministry of Interior. He emphasized that beyond alleviating suffering and promoting happiness, the Ministry aims to enhance the well-being and quality of life for citizens, aspiring for a prosperous and happy society. The Ministry's mission is divided into three core areas: internal security affairs, community development and local government promotion, and public disasters and urban development. These areas are managed by various departments and state enterprises, including the Department of Provincial Administration, Department of Lands, Department of Community Development, Department of Local Government Promotion, and others. Mr. Anutin outlined five key policies that the Ministry prioritizes: maintaining social order and suppressing influential figures, strict prevention and suppression of drugs in collaboration with police and military, creating careers and income generation post-COVID-19, promoting community tourism and the grassroots economy, and ensuring access to quality drinking water for all citizens. Mr. Anutin concluded by emphasizing the significance of the National Defense College, highlighting the importance of collaboration between its alumni from both the business and government sectors. He stressed tha t such cooperation is vital for national development and crisis resolution. The National Defense College fosters a close-knit community, referring to each other as "brothers," which facilitates effective coordination and problem-solving. Ms. Traisuree added that senior executives of the Ministry of Interior participated in welcoming the 67th National Defense College delegation. This included figures such as Mr. Boonjong Wongtrairat, Assistant Minister to the Ministry of Interior, and other prominent officials who are alumni of the National Defense College from various years, contributing to a robust environment for learning and collaboration.
