Prime Minister Launches ‘Thai Helps Thai’ Campaign at Bang Yai Market

Bang yai: The Prime Minister kicked off the "Thai Helps Thai" campaign at Bang Yai market, aiming to sell affordable goods to reduce the cost of living. The initiative, accompanied by Supajee and Supamas, was marked by a surprising appearance from MPs of the Orange Party, who welcomed the Prime Minister and assisted in pushing shopping carts.

According to Thai News Agency, the Prime Minister, along with Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul, launched the campaign at Bang Yai City Market in Nonthaburi Province. This marks the beginning of a nationwide effort to lower living expenses by providing affordable goods across all 710 districts. The sales will be conducted at district offices and through modern trade outlets like Lotus's, Big C, and Makro every Friday throughout May. Nonthaburi MP Suthat Meesiri of the People's Party welcomed the Prime Minister, who emphasized his role as a citizen rather than an opposition figure.

The Prime Minister visited a stall offering products under the "Thai Helps Thai" initiative, which is designed to alleviate living costs. He purchased items such as rice, sauces, toilet paper, cooking oil, dishwashing liquid, instant noodles, and steamed rice cakes. Additionally, he bought melons, durian, and mango sticky rice to distribute to the attending public. Members of Parliament from the People's Party supported the Prime Minister by assisting with his shopping cart and accompanying him throughout his visit.
