Bangkok: Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul shared a glimpse into a significant meeting with prospective ministers, signaling the government's preparation to unveil new policies to the parliament. The photo, posted by Anutin himself, shows discussions centered around shaping strategies that will guide the nation's governance in the coming term.
According to Thai News Agency, the meeting included key figures such as Deputy Prime Minister for Legal Affairs Bowornsak Uwanno, Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkaew, Energy Minister Nanatthapol Rerkpiboon, Defense Minister General Nattapol Nakphanit, Commerce Minister Suphajee Suthumpun, and Finance Minister Ekniti Nitithanpraphat. These ministers are tasked with pivotal roles as the administration gears up to announce its policies.
Reporters highlighted that among the policies being revived is the "Half-Half" scheme, albeit with a new twist. Under the revised format, taxpayers will bear 60% of the government's contribution, while individuals will cover the remaining 40%. Discussions also touched upon the "We Travel Together" project, increased decentralization to local governments, and measures to tackle natural disasters, though these initiatives are still under consideration and yet to be finalized.
