Prachinburi Opens Thanthip Waterfall for Nighttime Swimming During Rainy Season

Prachinburi: Prachinburi is doing something unique to promote tourism by allowing tourists to swim in Thanthip Waterfall at night throughout this rainy season. Two years ago, Prachinburi Province successfully opened its waterfalls to tourists for nighttime enjoyment during the rainy season. Tourists flocked to the area, bringing their children to play and relax. This made Prachantakham District and Thanthip Waterfall, Saphan 2 in Pho Ngam Subdistrict, well-known to tourists and represented a new dimension to nighttime waterfall tourism. Local vendors benefited, with sales of food and drinks soaring to hundreds of thousands of baht daily. This year, the waterfalls are being reopened for relaxation and swimming throughout the rainy season. Thanthip Waterfall, Saphan 2, is ideal for swimming due to its wide, clear, and beautiful stream (over 50 meters long) that sparkles when illuminated. The water is shallow, making it safe for children. For adults, bamboo rafts are available for rent from local vendors for 200 baht per day until 11 PM. Food and drinks are available at normal prices. Ample parking is also available.

According to Thai News Agency, this year, the area has been illuminated with even more beautiful lights than in previous years, and there are new photo opportunities along the long bridge crossing the stream. Tourists who wish to experience the nighttime atmosphere and admire the beauty of Thanthip Waterfall can use the GPS coordinates "Thanthip Waterfall Bridge 2" throughout the rainy season.
