MEA Donates Funds to Support People with Disabilities on 68th Anniversary

Bangkok: MEA joins forces in giving back on the occasion of its 68th anniversary, providing continued financial support to the Foundation for the Welfare of People with Disabilities. Today (August 27, 2026), Mr. Phisanu Tantithavorn, Deputy Governor of MEA (Metropolitan Electricity Authority), represented MEA in donating 329,637 baht to the Foundation for the Welfare of the Disabled under the Royal Patronage of Her Majesty Queen Sri Savangavadhana. He was accompanied by Mr. Komkrit Sakarik, Assistant Governor, and Mr. Rangsan Sethawong, Director of Social and Environmental Affairs. Mrs. Ratchaneewan Uthaisri, Vice Chairperson of the Foundation, received the donation at the Watthanawiphas Building, MEA Headquarters, Khlong Toei.

According to Thai News Agency, this funding came from a joint contribution by MEA and its employees on the occasion of the Metropolitan Electricity Authority's 68th anniversary on August 1, 2026. This is an annual activity by MEA to contribute to the MEA Foundation for the Welfare of the Disabled, which supports and sponsors Sri Sangwal School. This support demonstrates the internal collaboration in providing opportunities and improving the quality of life for people with disabilities, alongside MEA's ongoing social responsibility mission. It reinforces MEA's commitment on its 68th anniversary to driving the growth of the electricity sector alongside society.
