Chonburi: Police Region 2 held discussions with the United States to prepare for and ensure the safety of U.S. naval personnel visiting Chonburi and Rayong. Pol. Lt. Gen. Chatchai Surachetphong, Commander of Provincial Police Region 2, along with Pol. Maj. Gen. Nantawut Suwanlaong, Deputy Commander of Provincial Police Region 2, welcomed Mr. Lou Pham, Deputy Assistant Attach© of the U.S. Forces Defense Command (FPD), U.S. Embassy in Thailand, and his delegation. They discussed security preparations for the arrival of U.S. naval vessels at Laem Chabang Port, Sriracha Port in Chonburi Province, and Map Ta Phut Industrial Port in Rayong Province. The meeting took place at Provincial Police Region 2 on September 1, 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, Police Region 2 and officials from the United States have discussed security measures and strategies to ensure the convenience and safety of US Navy personnel who will be visiting Chonburi and Rayong provinces for tourism in the area.
