Lopburi: A young engineering graduate, Nontanat Tunsumkid, known as Jack, has made the bold decision to leave behind a high-paying job to pursue his passion for creating unique ice cream.
According to Thai News Agency, Jack, a telecommunications engineering graduate, opened a premium homemade ice cream shop that combines the flavors of Thai ice cream with the texture of Italian gelato. His shop, named "Itim Thai Chai Buri," offers a distinctive product characterized by a smooth, dense, and creamy texture that melts swiftly in the mouth. The name of the shop is a creative blend of "Chaiyaphum" and "Lopburi," reflecting his roots and business location.
The venture builds on a family tradition from Chaiyaphum, where Jack's family previously sold coconut milk and crafted Thai ice cream. The business prides itself on its meticulous approach to ice cream-making, focusing on premium ingredient selection and unique recipe development. Temperature control is maintained at every stage to guarantee freshness and quality daily.
The shop boasts an impressive menu with over 30 flavors, all made from natural ingredients. These include palm sugar, durian, young coconut milk, premium fresh milk, Yakult, Pipo jelly, butterfly pea flower and lemon, dark chocolate, Thai tea, green tea, Ovaltine, and coffee. The offerings extend beyond ice cream to include a range of beverages, available for in-store purchase, retail, wholesale, or takeaway. Prices start at 35 baht per container, with options to purchase in larger portions. For events, pre-blended ice cream, capable of yielding 80-100 servings per scoop, is available. Since its launch three months ago, the shop has received enthusiastic feedback from customers who have lauded the rich and satisfying flavors.
