Police Detain Close Associate of Late Abbot for Questioning

Bangkok: Police have taken Ms. Punyavee, a 47-year-old woman closely associated with the late Abbot Choti of Wat Phutthaisawan, into custody for further questioning at the Crime Suppression Division.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Punyavee was detained earlier today as part of the ongoing investigation into matters concerning the former abbot. Upon her arrival at the Crime Suppression Division, she maintained a neutral expression and refrained from answering reporters' queries about her relationship with the late abbot or her feelings regarding the investigation.

Reporters noted that Ms. Punyavee wore a silver necklace adorned with a pendant featuring an amulet known as "Nuea Duang Ong Pho Jatukham," which was created by the late Abbot Choti himself. This particular amulet is believed to hold significant spiritual value.

Authorities are now focused on gathering evidence and proceeding with legal action as they continue their investigation.
