Bangkok: The Police Association has donated 4,000,000 baht to the Police General Hospital, marking the second contribution from the 2nd Sky Walk-Run Charity Project. This donation aims to assist in the acquisition of medical equipment for the hospital's patients and service users.
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Lt. Col. Surasit Sangkhapong, Assistant to the Prime Minister's Office, Pol. Gen. Adul Sangsingkaew, Advisor to the Police Association, and Pol. Gen. Winai Thongsong, President of the Police Association, presented the donation. The funds, raised during the 2nd Police Hospital Charity Walk-Run (Police Run 2024) held on November 10, 2024, were distributed to support various hospital funds. Specifically, 1.2 million baht is allocated for the Police Hospital Endoscopy and Laparoscopic Surgery Center Fund, 1.8 million baht for the Police Hospital Dental Group Fund, and 1 million baht for the Police Hospital Medical Education Fund.
The donation was received by Pol. Lt. Gen. Taweesin Wechawitan, Chief Medical Officer, with Pol. Lt. Col. Sirikul Srisongka, spokesperson and representative of the Police General Hospital Foundation under Royal Patronage. Pol. Lt. Gen. Taweesilp expressed gratitude to Pol. Gen. Winai and the Police Association committee for their contribution. The funds will be utilized to enhance the hospital's efficiency and capability in providing comprehensive and modern medical services. This includes procuring advanced medical equipment to improve the quality of medical treatment available to patients.
