He asserted that there is sufficient evidence to prosecute, and suggested that the Prime Minister may be contemplating escape in anticipation of a possible verdict.
According to Thai News Agency, Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth highlighted the Senate's petition to the Constitutional Court for the Prime Minister's removal and a halt to his duties. He believes the court will swiftly accept the case, citing the audio clip as clear evidence that eliminates the need for further collection. He also mentioned other pending cases against the Prime Minister and predicted a lengthy imprisonment, leading to potential plans for his escape.
Discussing former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth mentioned the ongoing case under Section 112, expressing doubt about Thaksin's ability to evade justice. He is keenly awaiting any revelations from Hun Sen that could expose Thaksin's activities, including defamation of the monarchy and financial dealings in Cambodia. Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth is prepared to take legal action if Thai laws are violated or if Thai citizens suffer due to Hun Sen's actions.
Pol. Gen. Sereepisuth also assessed the military capabilities of Cambodia, asserting that Cambodia lacks the budget to engage in conflict with Thailand and is unlikely to purchase weapons for such purposes. He reassured the public about the readiness of Thailand's military forces - army, navy, and air force - to defend the nation's sovereignty. He urged the public to have confidence in the military's preparedness to address any border issues.
