Pipat Confident in Anutin’s Ability to Secure All 31 Seats in Southern Thailand

Bangkok: "Pipat" remains optimistic despite recent opinion polls in Songkhla, expressing confidence that "Anutin" will capture all 31 seats in the South by promoting the "Half-Price Plus" scheme to engage the public. Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, a prominent figure in the Bhumjaithai Party's southern region, addressed concerns following a NIDA poll indicating continued support for the Democrat Party and Mr. Abhisit Vejjajiva in Songkhla. While acknowledging natural concerns inherent to politics, Pipat expressed unwavering confidence in Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul's leadership, citing his clear achievements as caretaker prime minister. The party remains focused on securing 31 or more seats in the southern region, emphasizing their proven track record since 2019 to affirm their credibility.

According to Thai News Agency, the Bhumjaithai Party is gearing up for the final campaign push before the February 8, 2026 election, with the "Half-Price Plus" policy as a key strategy. This initiative has garnered substantial support from market vendors and is set to be a central component of their campaign. The party aims to highlight its reliability in fulfilling promises and its commitment to enhancing economic liquidity and addressing financial challenges faced by people in the 14 southern provinces, should they be trusted to form a government again.

Additionally, the campaign is set to feature a pivotal moment in the southern region, where Mr. Anutin will spearhead an "economic dream team," including Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas and Ms. Supajee Suthamphan, to bolster support in crucial provinces such as Phuket, Surat Thani, Songkhla, and Nakhon Si Thammarat. This effort will take place from January 30th to February 5th, culminating in grand rallies in Phatthalung and Bangkok on February 6th, marking the final showdown in the election campaign.
