A large number of tourists flocked to Phu Kradueng National Park during the long Father's Day holiday, following the National Parks Department's announcement of a waiver of entrance fees. The total number of visitors exceeded 2,500, amidst cool weather with a low temperature of 13 degrees Celsius.
According to Thai News Agency, Phuwanai Munwang, head of Phu Kradueng National Park, revealed that on December 1st, the park reopened three additional waterfall trails: Pen Phop Waterfall, Phon Phop Waterfall, and Pen Phop Mai Waterfall. These trails were closed for more than a year due to wild elephant attacks on tourists. Strict security measures have been implemented, including requiring a ranger to lead the entire route. The trails are open only between 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., with one tour per day.
Similarly, Phu Ruea National Park was packed with families celebrating Father's Day amid chilly temperatures of just 14 degrees Celsius. People were staking out spots to watch the sunrise and capture the impressive golden light gradually shining over the mountains. A cool breeze created a refreshing atmosphere, perfect for winter travel. The park asks tourists to separate and dispose of their waste outside the park, in accordance with responsible tourism guidelines. This ensures that all families can experience nature safely and happily during this long holiday.
