Phu kradueng: Phu Kradueng National Park will be closed for three months to allow the forest to regenerate, with plans to reopen to tourists on October 1st.
According to Thai News Agency, the park’s annual closure aims to facilitate the natural recovery of the forest, wildlife, and surrounding ecosystem. This initiative is crucial for maintaining the park’s ecological balance and ensuring a healthy environment for future visitors.
Phu Kradueng National Park has organized the “Clean Up and Send Phu Kradueng to Sleep” activity for 2026. This event marks the beginning of the park’s official closure from June 1st to September 30th each year. The closure period is essential for allowing the park’s ecosystem to recover, ensuring it remains a vibrant and inviting destination for tourists from October 1st to May 31st.
The cleanup event saw participation from over 500 individuals, including government agencies, businesses, tourists, and volunteers, all working together to remove trash and promote environmental recovery. This collective effort underscores the community’s commitment to preserving Phu Kradueng’s natural beauty.
Additionally, tourism routes connecting the “Phu Kradung – Nong Hin – Phu Luang” area are part of the “Wonders of Nature and Mountains Plus Trail” project. This initiative, led by the Designated Areas for Sustainable Tourism Development Administration in Loei Province, seeks to enhance sustainable nature and cultural tourism in the region.
Mr. Phuwanai Moonwaeng, head of Phu Kradueng National Park, expressed gratitude to officials and the public for their cooperation in promoting ecotourism. He emphasized that the park’s forest will return to its lush state by the next tourist season, ready to welcome visitors once again.
