Sisaket: Pheu Thai Party leaders visited Khun Han District to campaign for the by-election in Sisaket's Constituency 5. Nattawut declared that despite all sorts of criticism, the Pheu Thai Prime Minister remains committed to fighting alongside the people. He urged the people of Sisaket to vote for Phurikha, signaling a move to tap the brakes on the blue-collar party.
According to Thai News Agency, the campaign saw Pheu Thai Party leaders, led by Ms. Manoporn Charoensri, MP for Nakhon Phanom, along with Ms. Kittithanya Wajadee, MP for Ubon Ratchathani, Mr. Phachara Chantharawongthong, MP for Nakhon Ratchasima, Mr. Aphicha Lertpacharakamol, MP for Nakhon Ratchasima, Mr. Naphon Choeykhamhaeng, MP for Nong Bua Lamphu, and Mr. Nattawut Saikua, visiting Khun Han District to meet with the public. They campaigned for Ms. Phurika Sommai, Pheu Thai Party candidate No. 1 for Constituency 5, at various locations including Ban Phu Fai City Hall, Wat Arun Sawang, Ban Kram Temple, and Wat Pho Wong.
Nattawut emphasized the Pheu Thai Party's long-standing commitment to the people. Recalling his first election campaign under the Thai Rak Thai Party, he highlighted policies like the 30-baht universal healthcare scheme, OTOP, and village funds, which have consistently benefited the populace. Despite challenges such as two coups, the party's dissolution, and six Pheu Thai Party prime ministers facing various obstacles, the party has remained steadfast. Nattawut asserted that while the party has been positioned as the opposition, it will continue to act as a check on the minority government. He refuted claims that the Pheu Thai Party is defunct, stating that the party remains closely aligned with the people.
Nattawut also addressed concerns about the Blue Party's influence, citing an investigation into alleged collusion between the Senate and Blue Senators. He warned against the potential risk of a Blue Constitution and called on the people of Sisaket District 5 to oppose any monopolization of power by a single political group. Encouraging support for Phurika Sommai, he urged the electorate to signal their disagreement with the current political dynamics.
