Opposition Leader Teng Natthaphong to Visit Flood-Stricken Southern Provinces Tomorrow.

Surat Thani: "Teng Natthaphong," the leader of the Prachachon Party and Leader of the Opposition in the House of Representatives, is set to visit the southern border provinces tomorrow to assess the ongoing flood situation and support relief efforts in the area. His visit aims to prepare proposals for effective relief and rehabilitation for the flood-affected regions. According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Nattapong Ruangpanyawut traveled to Surat Thani Province today. He visited the Forward Water Information Center of the Water Resources Information Institute at the Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Center, Region 11, to gather information on the recent rainfall and flooding levels in the lower southern region. Reports revealed that the lower southern region has experienced significant rainfall over the past three days, with some areas receiving between 500 to 1,000 millimeters. As a result, residents are urged to remain vigilant as the heavy rainfall is expected to continue until November 30, 2024, particula rly affecting regions like Songkhla and Satun provinces. Mr. Nattapong expressed his support and encouragement to the residents and officials working tirelessly in the flood-affected areas. His planned visit tomorrow, along with other Prachachon Party MPs who are part of the Water Resources Management Committee, will focus on monitoring the water situation closely. They aim to assist government agencies, local authorities, and the community in managing the crisis and devising a comprehensive relief and rehabilitation strategy once the flooding subsides.
