Bangkok:The Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) held a handover ceremony for the position of Secretary-General, marking the transition from Surapong Intarathaworn to Nitiphan Prachuabmoh.
According to Thai News Agency, Surapong, who is set to retire at the end of September, officially transferred his responsibilities to Nitiphan, the former Deputy Secretary-General. The ceremony included the signing of a memorandum of understanding for the transfer of duties, witnessed by Deputy Secretaries-General Prateep Kongsanit and Chatarat Anarghorn, in the presence of NACC executives, staff, and officials.
The handover covered a comprehensive range of duties, including asset and monetary record transfers, as well as personnel, staffing, anti-corruption efforts, and other organizational responsibilities. These were documented in line with the Prime Minister's Office regulations on official duty transfers.
During his farewell speech, Surapong expressed pride in his service and gratitude to the staff for their dedication. He highlighted the collective effort in fulfilling the NACC's mission, emphasizing that his role was in service to everyone at the organization.
Nitiphan's selection as the new Secretary-General was unanimously approved by the NACC committee on August 19, solidifying the leadership transition as Surapong prepares to retire.
