Mother’s Tireless Search Ends as Missing Daughter Found Working in Pattaya Bar.

Pattaya: A mother has been searching for her 16-year-old daughter for 2-3 months before finding her working at a bar in Pattaya. She has notified the police to arrest her, and is considering taking serious legal action and ordering the closure. According to Thai News Agency, the mother and relatives of the teenage girl discovered her daughter working at a bar in Soi Bua Khao, Bang Lamung District, Chon Buri Province last night after the girl had been missing from home for nearly three months. The family confronted the bar staff, questioning why they had employed a minor. The establishment provided conflicting reasons: initially expressing sympathy for the girl who asked for work, then asserting she had used a fake ID, and finally claiming she was merely sitting around, not actually employed. Concerned about potential foul play, the family informed the Pattaya City Police. The mother, a 42-year-old woman, tearfully recounted her relentless search for her daughter, which finally led her to a video clip showin g the teenager working at the bar, serving drinks, and consuming alcohol. Upon confronting the situation with her relatives, she captured video evidence and called the police to investigate. The mother questioned the bar's ethics and urged authorities to enforce strict legal measures to prevent similar incidents, ensuring no other family faces such distress. In response, Pattaya City Police apprehended the bar's manager, 30-year-old Mr. Chetwiwat, charging him with employing a minor in a service establishment, and other related offenses. Authorities have also summoned the bar's owner for prosecution and have initiated procedures to shut down the venue. Pol. Col. Nawin Thirawit, Superintendent of Pattaya City Police Station, issued a stern warning to all entertainment venues, emphasizing zero tolerance for illegal activities involving minors, including employment and prostitution, and promised rigorous enforcement of the law.
