Bangkok: The Ministry of Finance has introduced the "Whispering Bird" loan program to assist successful traders in acquiring loans for business growth. This initiative aims to support small businesses by analyzing sales and expanding their loan portfolios. Krungthai Bank, Government Savings Bank, and the Thai Credit Guarantee Corporation (TCGC) are collaborating to alleviate the limitations faced by micro-SMEs.
According to Thai News Agency, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, accompanied by executives from the Ministry of Finance, Krung Thai Bank, Government Savings Bank, and the Small and Medium Enterprise Credit Guarantee Corporation (SMEG), embarked on a market visit to meet with vendors. This visit followed the Ministry's training on the "Nok Krasip" (Whispering Bird) application and marked the official launch of the Nok Krasip loan program. The initiative aims to lay the foundation for the growth of Thai Micro SMEs through the use of AI technology.
Mr. Ekniti highlighted that "Thai Chuay Thai Plus" supports vendors in enhancing their sales, while the AI Whispering Bird serves as a sales analysis assistant without any charges. The analysis indicates that Thursday is the best-selling day, enabling vendors to stock up accordingly. He invited the 1,200,000 vendors participating in the "Thai Chuay Thai Plus" project to utilize the AI Whispering Bird to improve their sales management. The program also facilitates easier access to financial institutions for vendors, allowing them to secure loans without collateral or documentation, based on their sales figures from the past three months of participation in the project. Government Savings Bank, Krung Thai Bank, and SMEG are aiding in providing funds for business expansion, reducing dependence on informal lending. The AI ??Whispering Bird will remain accessible even after the "Thai Chuay Thai Plus" project concludes.
Mr. Ekniti stated, "The 'Whispering Bird' loan, when it enters your money bag, should not be dismissed, as it aids in securing capital for shop expansion and raw material purchase, helping merchants obtain loans." He further mentioned that Krung Thai Bank offers loans up to 500,000 baht, Government Savings Bank provides immediate loans of 50,000 baht, and TCGC offers free guarantee fees for four years. He encouraged merchants to take advantage of the Whispering Bird loan, which is now available.
