Bangkok: The Ministry of Culture held a Buddhist chanting ceremony on the occasion of His Majesty the King's birthday. The Department of Religious Affairs organized this event to honor His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, coinciding with his birthday celebrations.
According to Thai News Agency, the event took place at Wat Phra Ram 9 Kanchanaphisek and was held in collaboration with the Chaipattana Foundation, the temple, and network partners. The ceremony included not only Buddhist chants but also creative activities and educational experiences. A highlight of the event was a guided tour of the mural painting exhibition located on the temple's balcony, which depicts His Majesty's life, duties, and over 4,000 royally initiated projects. These murals serve as a testament to His Majesty's contributions and his commitment to the Thai people.
Wat Phra Ram 9 Kanchanaphisek, a temple with significant connections to King Bhumibol Adulyadej, was named by the King himself in 1989. It stands as a tribute to his vision in arts, culture, and religion, encapsulated in the concept of "The King's Science." The temple continues to honor his legacy and aspirations, reinforcing his enduring influence and the admiration he holds among the Thai population.
