MEA Tightens Construction Regulations Following Roof Collapse at Bang Phli Training Center

Bangkok: The Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) announced that it and related agencies inspected the site of a roof collapse at the Bang Phli Training Center construction project in Bang Phli District, Samut Prakan Province, and have reinforced safety measures at the construction site.

According to Thai News Agency, MEA promptly dispatched personnel to assess the situation, prioritizing assistance for those affected. Four injured individuals, all contractors with minor injuries, have been transported to the hospital.

For safety reasons, MEA has cleared the area and inspected the site, cordoned off the area to prevent unauthorized access, and allowed a team of experts to conduct a detailed investigation into the cause of the collapse.

In addition, MEA has ordered stricter oversight of safety standards at construction sites to prevent similar incidents from happening again. The cause of the collapse is currently under detailed investigation. Further updates will be provided as soon as they are available.
