Sa kaeo: MEA (Metropolitan Electricity Authority) has taken a significant step in bolstering border security by donating reinforced concrete pipes to the Burapha Task Force in Sa Kaeo Province. These pipes are intended for the construction of bomb shelters and bunkers along the Thai-Cambodian border, a move that underscores MEA's commitment to resource efficiency and the safety of both citizens and personnel stationed in the area.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Rueangdet Netrakas, Director of Project Management at MEA, led the handover ceremony at the Burapha Task Force Headquarters. The ceremony saw the participation of Police Colonel Chuchart Kongmuang, Superintendent of Khlong Luek Police Station, alongside village headmen, community leaders, and other representatives. The initiative was further supported by volunteer groups and trailer truck businesses, which assisted with the transportation of the pipes.
Mr. Rueangdet emphasized MEA's dedication to peace and order, highlighting the selection of these durable and high-standard reinforced concrete pipes for repurposing in national defense structures. Originally part of the power distribution system, these materials are now set to play a vital role in safeguarding the border, minimizing risks, and enhancing public confidence and soldier morale.
This donation is aligned with MEA's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy, which focuses on social welfare and national security. Through such efforts, MEA aims to ensure a high quality of life for Thai citizens, fostering a secure and stable environment.
