Bangkok: KTC is accelerating its efficiency to cope with the economic challenges expected in 2026. KTC executives are focused on increasing efficiency and resilience to navigate these challenges while maintaining their strong business objectives.

According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Pittaya Vorapanyasakul, Chief Executive Officer of KTC (Krungthai Card Public Company Limited), stated that although political uncertainty may pressure confidence, she hopes there will be no prolonged power vacuum. She emphasized the importance of swift elections and the formation of a new government to avoid impacting economic measures. Ms. Pittaya highlighted concerns over low economic growth and the economic structure but reaffirmed KTC's commitment to its 2026 goals. These goals include major technological developments to increase efficiency and create sustainable revenue growth while maintaining quality portfolio growth. The company expects its total loan portfolio to expand by 1-2%, with the non-performing loan (NPL) ratio remaining below 2%, and aims to acquire 360,000 new members.

Ms. Pittaya also mentioned the uncertainties in 2026, stressing the importance of adaptation and resource management. She noted that next year is crucial for businesses to prepare themselves to be efficient, agile, and flexible while seeking new growth opportunities. Businesses must understand their operations, recognize their weaknesses and strengths, and find opportunities from emerging circumstances to overcome crises.

Ms. Pranaya Nithananon, Chief Marketing Officer of KTC's Credit Card division, stated that while the overall credit card market is growing at less than 1%, KTC's credit cards are expanding at approximately 4%. By 2026, they aim to add 250,000 new members. Regarding credit card spending in 2026, they anticipate a 5% growth, focusing on promoting health and life insurance, supporting SMEs, and targeting Gen Z, as well as incentivizing online transactions. Concerning non-performing loans (NPLs), despite potential risks from certain customer groups, KTC is confident in its NPL management measures to maintain them at a low level.
