Bangkok: The Kla Tham Party has expressed its intent to consider members' opinions prior to deciding on whether to join the government. This announcement came during a press conference led by party leader Narumon Pinyosinwat after the Constitutional Court's ruling that dissolved the current cabinet due to the prime minister's disqualification and ethical breaches.
According to Thai News Agency, the Kla Tham Party emphasized its commitment to the nation's interests, religion, and the monarchy. The party reiterated its consistent approach and the need to listen to its members before making any decision about government coalition. Party leader Narumon Pinyosinwat stressed the importance of adhering to the principles of the country's three core institutions while evaluating potential governance partnerships. The decision-making process, she noted, involves assessing whether the direction of potential partners aligns with Kla Tham's core principles.
During the press conference, Ms. Narumon highlighted the party's readiness to address the country's challenges, stating, "The Kla Tham Party's position is to solve problems for the people. We are ready to cooperate in amending the Constitution and other laws that will help resolve the problems of the people and help the nation overcome this crisis."
Ms. Narumon also explained the party's decision-making process following the court's ruling. She recalled being at Government House with the Cabinet and the Prime Minister when the verdict was announced. After the Prime Minister's statement, she sought direction by asking, "How will we move forward?" She underscored the necessity of consulting with all party members to reach a consensus on the party's future steps, highlighting the importance of collective input from the Kla Tham Party members.
