Justice Minister Joins Malaysia Meeting to Raise Thai Arbitration Standards to International Standards.

Kuala Lumpur: Pol. Lt. Col. Thawee, Minister of Justice, joins Malaysia's meeting to raise Thai arbitration standards to international standards. Pol. Col. Thawee Sodsong, Minister of Justice, together with Ms. Lada Phumas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Malaysia, Mr. Suriyapong Tubtimthae, Director of the Thai Arbitration Institute, and the delegation, attended the Kuala Lumpur Forum on International Arbitration 2024: The Future of International Arbitration - Reforms and Innovations at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. According to Thai News Agency, the objective is to exchange knowledge on good models of international arbitration, develop innovations to support arbitration work, and strengthen networks to develop arbitration work in the Southeast Asian region. The Minister of Justice discussed with Dato' Sri Azalina Azman Zaid, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office of Malaysia, who expressed Malaysia's readiness to be a leader in arbitration in the region, to create an international ar bitration network, to bring innovation to develop arbitration work, and to be willing to cooperate with Thailand in developing arbitration work to be ready for the era of digital justice. Arbitration is one of the alternative dispute resolution processes to promote transparency, speed and efficiency in economic, trade and investment activities. This meeting will promote an atmosphere of cooperation in border economies at all levels between Thailand and Malaysia for sustainable progress.
