Jon Rahm Set to Exit LIV Golf Over LIV 2.0 Terms

Sanaa:Rahm is preparing to part ways with LIV Golf after being unhappy with the terms of LIV 2.0.

According to Thai News Agency, Jon Rahm, a two-time Major champion, is planning to retire from LIV Golf. This decision comes after his lawyer disclosed in a US bankruptcy court that the 31-year-old Spanish golfer found the terms of the LIV 2.0 program unacceptable.

John Beck, Rahm's attorney, stated that Rahm had personally examined the details of the LIV 2.0 agreement before concluding that the conditions were not suitable for him. However, it was revealed that Rahm's representatives and Liftgolf are negotiating a voluntary separation agreement, aiming to finalize it before the scheduled hearing on November 5th.

Lift Golf previously filed for bankruptcy protection under Chapter 11 after losing financial backing from Saudi Arabia. Meanwhile, BC Partners Credit is in the process of arranging up to $300 million (10,085 million baht) in funding to support the tour's continuation through the 2027 season.
