Jenny Ratchanok’s Relief Convoy: 31 Trucks Deliver Aid to Flood-Hit South Thailand

Bangkok: Mission complete for Jenny Ratchanok Suwannaket as she successfully dispatched 31 trucks filled with consumer goods to southern Thailand, an area severely impacted by ongoing flooding. This relief effort marks the first phase of her campaign, with plans to proceed to a charity kitchen as the next stage.

According to Thai News Agency, the devastating floods, which began on November 19, 2015, continue to affect provinces including Songkhla, Phatthalung, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Satun, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat. The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation (DDPM) reported that recovery efforts are being expedited with measures such as providing temporary shelter, repairing infrastructure, and mobilizing volunteers to assist in city clean-up.

Jenny Ratchanok shared her gratitude on her personal Facebook page, expressing heartfelt thanks for the support that enabled the mission's success. The event, dubbed "Jenny Festival," also saw contributions from Ploy, the personal manager of celebrity Bella Ranee, who was pivotal in coordinating the efforts. Ploy shared insights into the logistical challenges faced and the community spirit that drove the initiative, highlighting the unexpected scale of the operation and the collective effort from volunteers and industry professionals alike.

Despite the logistical challenges, including learning about truck capacities and safe cargo handling, the focus remained on the positive impact of their efforts.
