In the fiscal year 2024 (October 2023 - September 2024), there were a total of 119.29 million passengers, an increase of 19.22% compared to the same period last year. Of these, 72.67 million were international passengers, an increase of 34.82%, and 46.62 million were domestic passengers, an increase of 1.01% compared to the same period last year. While the winter 2024/2025 flight schedules of the six airports have a total of 370,239 flights allocated, an increase of 22.1% from the previous winter season (W2023/2024), and the total number of passengers is expected to increase by 23%, with the top five international routes with passengers arriving in Thailand being China, Malaysia, India, Singapore and Hong Kong. At the same time, AOT also responds to the government's policy to increase service efficiency by opening an Automated Biometric Identification System (Biometric) with Facial Recognition technology to identify passengers for convenience, comfort, speed and reduce waiting time. The pilot will be available for domestic passengers on November 1, 2024 and will be available for international passengers on December 1, 2024. However, passengers must consent to the use of personal identity data.
