Authorities are on-site, assessing the damage and assisting residents impacted by the severe weather.
According to Thai News Agency, the intense rainfall led to flash floods affecting over 50 houses along the Lam La River and surrounding streams in three villages: Ban Mae Lan Noi (Village 1), Ban Pa Mak (Village 2), and Ban Thung Saraphi (Village 9). Significant damage occurred in the community development office area of Mae Lan Noi District and the government officials' residences at the Mae Lan Noi District Office. Infrastructure in five locations suffered, with damages exceeding 30 million baht.
The severe weather caused the collapse of the bridge abutment between Ban Pa Hamak and Ban Thung Saraphi, as well as roads along the Nam La River in Moo 9 and Moo 1. Additionally, the bridge abutment at Ban Na Pa Tan subsided, and the Thung Aew irrigation canal was completely destroyed by the strong currents. Officials conducted surveys this morning to assess the damage and provide support and relief to affected residents.

The West Coast Southern Meteorological Department has issued warnings to residents in vulnerable locations, advising caution against potential flash floods, landslides, and mudslides. In Takua Pa and Kapong districts of Phang Nga province, continuous rainfall is expected, prompting authorities to raise red flags in the Khao Lak beach area, advising tourists against engaging in water activities due to unsafe sea conditions.
