Bangkok: The government encourages spending via the Half-Half Plus Food Delivery program, starting today. The program can only be used through the Paotang app.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Airin Phanrit revealed that today marks the first day of the government's campaign, inviting people to exercise their rights under the "Half-Half Plus" program through participating restaurants and beverage shops. The program will be available on four food delivery platforms: Grab, Lineman, Robinhood, and ShopeeFood. This integration allows general users to access more merchants and enjoy greater convenience and ease of use compared to paying at the store.
Terms and conditions for exercising this privilege must be adhered to through the "Paotang" application before linking to the desired food delivery platform. Food and beverage orders can be placed between 6:00 AM and 9:00 PM from now until December 31, 2025. A top-up must be added to G Wallet before the transaction begins, and orders can only be placed at participating restaurants, which must be searched for through the selected food delivery app. If an order is canceled, the money will be refunded to the system within approximately 30 minutes.
The government has issued a reminder that accepting or demanding cash or any other form of compensation outside of ordering food/drinks through the Food Delivery Platform is strictly prohibited. Transactions must be actual, with the buyer and seller not being physically located in the same location or being the same person.
Ms. Airin emphasized that citizens must begin their first spending by 11:00 PM on November 11, 2025. Failure to do so will result in exclusion from the program and revocation of eligibility. As of 5:00 PM on November 6, 2025, over 18.91 million people have successfully completed the program, with total spending exceeding 19.358 billion baht. This includes 9.796 billion baht paid by citizens and 9.561 billion baht contributed by the government.
