Bangkok: The government is urging citizens to explore secondary cities during the upcoming long holiday from December 5-7, 2025, as part of the "Travel Well, Get a Return" initiative. This measure includes incentives such as tax deductions, which are available until December 15.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwattana, Deputy Government Spokesperson, has announced the continuation of the "Travel Well, Get a Rebate" year-end tourism stimulus. This initiative aims to distribute income to local areas and support local entrepreneurs in over 55 secondary provinces nationwide. The public is encouraged to use the holiday period to explore cultural and natural attractions.
Under this measure, citizens can claim tax deductions for expenses related to accommodation and restaurants, up to a total of 20,000 baht. These expenses must be documented with paper or e-Tax Invoices and incurred between October 29 and December 15, 2025, to qualify for the deductions.
The deputy spokesperson emphasized that the policy is designed to benefit both citizens and local communities by boosting the grassroots economy. It offers tourists a chance to relax in the early winter atmosphere, enjoy local cuisine, and explore beautiful natural attractions during the year-end period.
