Bangkok: GHB (Government Housing Bank) is celebrating its 73rd anniversary with a special loan promotion, offering a low interest rate of 0.73% per year and no fees as part of its "Beyond Housing Bank" initiative, which aims to make homeownership more accessible for Thais.
According to Thai News Agency, the bank has allocated 20 billion baht for the GHB 73rd Anniversary Beyond loan program. This initiative is designed to support aspiring homeowners by providing comprehensive loan options with attractive interest rates. The promotion includes an interest rate of 0.73% per year for the first three months, 1.73% per year for months four to nine, and various other competitive rates for subsequent periods. As of now, GHB's Minimum Retail Rate (MRR) stands at 6.145% per year, which applies to specific customer categories and loan purposes.
The loan terms extend up to 40 years, with monthly payments starting as low as 2,500 baht for a 1 million baht loan. The program includes special provisions for collateral appraisal fees and waives mortgage registration fees for customers refinancing from other financial institutions. This exclusive offer is available until September 30, 2026, for accounts using the GHB 73-Year Beyond loan product, with a maximum waiver of 200,000 baht.
