Ayutthaya: Villagers have come forward to allege that "former Abbot Choti" at Wat Phutthaisawan exclusively accepted disciples with financial means. They expressed their outrage over the scandal, revealing that the former abbot only allowed affluent disciples to join, while local villagers were permitted only to worship at the temple entrance.
According to Thai News Agency, a news team visiting the temple discovered that villagers had long suspected inappropriate behavior. They admitted to witnessing a female devotee frequently entering and leaving the abbot's quarters over an extended period. Despite these observations, the villagers chose not to intervene, trusting that karma would eventually address the situation.
