Chonburi:Flooding has been reported on Motorway M7 at kilometer 81+900 in the Nong Kha area of Si Racha District, causing traffic to become impassable in both directions. Motorists are advised to avoid the area and seek alternative routes.
According to Thai News Agency, the Department of Highways has reported that water from a parallel road has flowed into the main lanes of the Bangkok-Chonburi-Map Ta Phut section of Intercity Expressway No. 7 (M7), resulting in standing water. Officials are on site to expedite repairs and manage the traffic situation.
The Department of Highways, in coordination with the Traffic Control Center, is using VMS signs to inform road users in advance about the situation. Recommended alternative routes include exiting at the Nong Kham Interchange for inbound traffic and re-entering at either the Bang Phra Interchange or Ban Bueng Interchange. For outbound traffic, motorists are advised to exit at the Ban Bueng Interchange.
Travelers are urged to plan their journeys in advance, adhere to traffic signs and instructions, and continuously monitor updates on the situation, which may change depending on the terrain.
